nutr ed mat'ls for preschoolers--Kids Club

Many WIC clinics around the country, as well as other programs, use the Kids 
Club materials by Barbara Mayfield, MS, RD, who works in a WIC clinic, 
teaches nutrition at Purdue, and does nutrition education training 
nationally. 

I first met her after she did a presentation on Kids Club at a NAWD 
conference. I was very impressed with the materials and the very creative, 
active, WIC-friendly sessions--also very impressed with her enthusiasm and 
commitment. 

She's a dynamite presenter, too, if you need somebody to do a session about 
nutrition ed with preschoolers. She's so good that I asked her to present my 
USDA-sponsored "Bright Futures for Babies" at the Sept. NAWD Nutr Ed and BF 
conference--and the session got a 4.8 out of 5 on the evaluations! Hopefully 
that says something about my materials and presentation outline (!) but it 
also says a lot about the presenter. She is really quite exceptional.
