FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FOOD SYNERGY
The Produce for Better Health Foundation and General Mills are
co-sponsoring the First International Conference on Food Synergy in
Washington, D.C. on May 10 and 11, 2001. The theme of this conference is
the complex nature of foods and the many additive and synergistic
interactions that occur among food constituents - fiber, nutrients, and
phytochemicals - that impact disease risk.

A second theme of the conference is the importance of researching the
effects of multiple, rather than singular, dietary changes and it will
include commentaries, reviews, original research, and panel discussions.

Continuing education credit for dietitians has been applied for from ADA.
For more information or to register, contact Marilyn Neilan at Produce for
Better Health at: 302-235-2329 ext. 32 or e-mail: mneilan at 5aday.com

Registrations can be made on-line after December 1, 2000 at
