NEW MECHANISM BY WHICH HDL PROTECTS ARTERIES

DALLAS - July 2, 2001 - Scientists at UT Southwestern Medical Center
have discovered
that high-density lipoprotein (HDL) - the "good cholesterol" - triggers
a process that
keeps arteries clean and flexible.
