A course on Nutrition Program Management is being offered at Cornell 
University, June 19 - 22, 2001.  Pre-registration is necessary to secure a 
place in the course. Interested individuals should respond via e-mail or 
phone by March 20, 2001.

This Nutrition Program Management course will cover a variety of topics 
including -- human resource management, fiscal planning and management, and 
program management and leadership in community nutrition.

This course would be valuable for supervisors, managers, program leaders in 
Extension, public health, health centers or other settings where community 
nutrition programming occurs. EFNEP, FSNEP, WIC and similar programs 
utilizing paraprofessionals in a teaching role, dispersed service delivery 
and public funding will be used as case study examples. The course format 
will consist of a morning plenary speaker, followed by a practitioner 
discussing experience from the field. Afternoon sessions will include 
examination and discussion of case studies from various nutrition program 
settings.

Attendees are invited to a welcome reception Monday, June 18; the training 
starts Tuesday, June 19. All classes will be held at the Robert Purcell 
Conference Center, Cornell University. Accommodations in North Campus 
housing are available and can be reserved when registration is confirmed.

  The cost of the training is $450 which includes a welcome reception, a 
banquet, continental breakfasts, lunches and breaks every day, and 
conference materials. Lodging and parking are additional costs.
