Subject: New Listserve
Dear Colleagues,
I have started a new interdisciplinary listserve that includes eating
disorders as one of the topics. The unifying theme is neuroendocrinology.
Topics being discussed include but are not limited to: Axis I disorders
such as bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance abuse,
post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit disorder, anxiety, and
depression; personality and illness; medical diagnoses with nutrition and
stress-influenced components, such as polycystic ovary syndrome,
fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, migraine headache, eating disorders,
sleep disorders, and weight management; complementary therapies for these
diagnoses; how practitioners can more effectively work together for the good
of their patients.
If you are interested, please contact me privately. Our discussions have
been lively and have ranged from fish oils in pregnancy, acupuncture
treatment for polycystic ovary syndrome, menopause, and working with ballet
dancers. We'd love to have you join us!
Regards,
Monika M. Woolsey, MS, RD
