food acquisition records

Hello Celia,
Thanks for your input. The tool I want/need to design is for a very small
study; I'm not planning to do an actual nutrient analysis of the records so
software won't be necessary. I want to collect this information in order
(1) to trace sources of food in the community (stores, friends, pantries,
etc.) and (2) to serve as a memory prompt for those I'm planning to
interview regarding their experiences procuring those foods. My concerns
have more to do with coming up with something that will be easy to use,
particularly for someone with poor literacy skills, and culturally
sensitive (for upstate NY). I'm thinking now of a checklist of some
sort. If you've got any other ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Sincerely,
Caroline Webber, MPH, RD
