Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Health, Tenure-Track Position
for Fall 2003
Applications are invited for a new faculty member with strong research
interests in a vital area of community public health. The candidate
will join a department newly restructured to emphasize population-based
approaches to health promotion and disease prevention. The position
requires an active and productive research program, student advising
(curriculum and field placement), and teaching of a variety of courses
in MPH programs in community and international health. Ideally,
research interests should address an area of health promotion for
underrepresented minority, low-income, or immigrant populations in urban
community settings, domestic or international. Candidates must hold a
doctoral degree in public health, social science, epidemiology,
international health, health education, or any related field with a
strong community health component. An MPH degree is desirable.
