[PHNUTR-L] Prepare for APHA and other conferences: 2 articles

Friends:

Earlier this year I asked those of you on the various lists I manage for 
you to contribute your thoughts to a set of two articles that I was 
writing for the Health Administration Section Newsletter. Many of you 
were very generous with your suggestions and for that I thank you.

After spending way too much time on the articles, they are now ready for 
viewing on the Web. If there are errors, they are mine, not my 
colleagues. Tell me and I will fix them. I will still incorporate 
additional suggestions if you have any.  That's the beauty of writing 
for the Web. You just make the change and upload the page. Easy.

Anyway, here are our two articles plus an additional article, also of 
interest to travellers to San Francisco:

1) "Starve at a Conference? Nah!" is located at:

In it you will find food to travel with, dining tips, foods for special 
groups, an international view of conference food (an Australian makes 
comments), and will get a recommended checklist of foods/beverages to pack.

2) "Making the Most of Your APHA Conference Experience" is located at: 
http://depts.washington.edu/hswork/articles/has_2003/surviveconf.html . 
In it you can read up on what to do to prepare for the trip, travel 
planning, tourism in SF, security, what to do during the conference and 
what to do afterwards when you come home excited about what you learned 
and the new friends you made during your networking.

All the contributors are listed. Since I often combined content, I did 
not attribute, but you know who you are. Many thanks to all of you for 
your suggestions.

A third article written by Giorgio Piccagli and Monica Chan (also APHA 
members) titled, "Come for the Annual Meeting, Stay for the Food" will 
also appear in the HAS Newsletter and is worth looking at for additional 
information on San Francisco eateries and cultural and historial sites - 
just in case you are going to APHA or for a visit. Giorgio and Monica 
did a lot of taste testing before making their recommendations. Their
