THE POSITION: Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive statewide plan for nutrition, physical activity and obesity prevention; recruits and trains new partners and collaborative members into the Arizona comprehensive planning teams; seeks community resources; plans team meetings and trainings, prepares agendas, assembles speakers, handles logistics, assembles meeting resources, and conducts meetings; prepares and submits strategic plan, various reports, and other documents to the Centers for Disease Control and other key partners, and provides technical assistance visits to key partners to assist in the development and implementation of community comprehensive plans; performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSAs): Administrative management experience related to health programs in chronic disease and prevention which included program planning or administration, or any experience that provides the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform in the position. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in nutrition science, be a registered dietitian and have two years of administrative management experience related to health programs in chronic disease and prevention. MS or MPH preferred.
