12/16/05. Position Summary: responsible for guiding and implementing the
Public Health Department's obesity and overweight prevention strategy.
Examples of issue areas include assisting school districts' development and
implementation of nutrition and physical activity policies, promoting
worksite nutrition and physical activity guidelines, promoting use of
guidelines on nutrition standards and portion size, and more. Will be a key
leader in seeking grant funding to sustain a broad based strategy over time.
Qualifications include: content expertise and program management
experience in public health, nutrition and physical activity promotion,
public policy experience in promoting healthy eating and physical activity,
with desired expertise in working on public policy changes that address
health disparities, more.
