[PHNUTR-L] Detox diet?

A patient asked me about Metagenics, a company in  Washington state and in 
particular their product, Ultraclear.  This is  advertised as a hypo-allergenic 
product to supply protein when on a "detox"  diet.  This patient is overweight 
with metabolic syndrome.  He found  this program which is supposed to help 
him with poor sleep, irritablity, etc. as  well as impaired glucose tolerance.  
The idea is that he's gluten and  lactose sensitive and this product, along 
with a gluten free and lactose free  detox diet will help with his symptoms.  
Anyone know anything about this approach?
