[PHNUTR-L] Restaurant labeling laws

Hello Members, 

Can anyone refer me to resources that explain what the current and potential labeling laws are for local restaurants and fast food establishments? I know there's been quite a ot of buzz about it, but not sure where we are currently. Also, any details on the phasing out of trans fats in local restaurants/fast food would be helpful. I may also be looking for a volunteer guest speaker to speak to our group of people (older adults with type 2 diabetes) about the background of these labeling laws, trans fat phase out and answer their questions about future legislation. Any help would be appreciated.
