The Health Care Financing Review, published by the Health Care Financing
Administration (HCFA) will have an  issue dedicated to women's health.  This is
an issue that is just becoming a focus for HCFA and HCFA's Women's Health
Workgroup worked very hard to get this issue on the schedule.  I serve on the
Workgroup, representing HCFA's Western Regional Consortium; we are looking
forward to an informative and exciting publication.  

Please share the attached call for papers for the Women's Health Issue with your
colleagues.  The deadline for submitting papers is June 19, 2000.  HCFReview is
distributed across the nation internally to all of HCFA's regional offices and
to health services and health policy researchers at universities, foundations,
etc.   

Also, we will need pople to serve as peer reviewers.  If you know someone who
can (and would be willing to) provide a critical review of research papers,
please send me his/her name and number so that I can forward this information to
the editor.  I realize that some peer review might need to be topic specific,
but a general request for volunteers is as specific as we can be right now.  

Thanks for your attention to this request for assistance.  Feel free to share
the call for papers widely.  I think it is an opportunity to continue to get
information out about women's health issues and to continue increasing HCFA's
internal awareness about and attention to this topic.
