[Pine-info] 4.63: INBOX closed due to access error

On the order of what I'd look at if I had the problem ....

I'm assuming you are using a local mail store and not IMAP/POP ...

It sounds like the way mail is delivered locally on your SuSE 10
installation is different than the previous version such that PINE
can no longer read the mailbox during the interval new mail is arriving.
My dominant version of pine is 4.33.

4.64 is available so you might try an upgrade. I use it on some systems
but don't keep is open for days.  Mostly in and out.
