[Pine-info] An easy imap question

ok, stupid question.  Are you just saying "INBOX" at the beginning of 
the line to show us which setting it is?

The real setting in both the setup/config screen and the .pinerc is
"inbox-path"

For example, mine shows up as:
inbox-path                       = {mail.apple.com/user=mattack/notls}INBOX     

I guess I haven't seen exactly what the error you're seeing is, except in the
case where you used brackets, which is wrong.
