Personally I'm a keen pine user since ages, but, except in case of MAJOR 
bugs (which seems very unlikely to me) or new features I really need, I'd 
like to stick to a stable though old pine version, typically the one 
bundled with my current distro (for me now is pine 4.61 from Linux SuSE 
9.2), and update only infrequently.

I suppose the developers' time is best spent in releasing an official 
version of Alpine, which I hope to see bundled in a coming SuSE distro.
