4th Annual Conference
HII99 - Improving Health in a Digital World
April 26-28, 1999
Renaissance Hotel, Washington, D.C.

Friends of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) will be holding its
Fourth Annual Conference HII99 which examines policy issues relating to the
emerging Health Information Infrastructure, April 26-28, 1999.

We are soliciting speakers for this important national conference on using
the emerging information infrastructure to improve health.

The theme of the HII99 is Improving Health in a Digital World. 

The conference foci will be:

o Telehealth/Telemedicine           o Privacy and Portability
o Consumer Health Information       o Equity and Access

We are soliciting ideas for breakout sessions that develop these themes.
Breakout sessions are 1-hour and 15 minutes long on Tuesday, April 27 and
Wednesday, April 28, 1999..

Friends of the NLM reserves the right to re-organize presentations and
combine similar presentations into panel discussions.
