Subject: Beta .07 Release

To All DOCLINE libraries:

On Thursday June 1, 2000, DOCLINE beta .07 will be released.  Expect to see beta .07 by 5:00 PM EST 6/1/00 or earlier.  Features of this release include:

1.  Removal of the second browser window login page.
2.  DOCUSER:  Add a Library has been added to Admin rights for RML libraries
3.  Loansome Doc Patron records have been refreshed for all libraries
4.  REQUESTS: 
    a. NLM made changes to the routing algorithm to correct all reported problems
    b. DOCLINE Reports:  NOTE: Reports based on Oct-Dec 1999 Data: Please verify accuracy 
           2-14(A) Quarterly Report Throughput
           2-14(B) Quarterly Report (Activity)
           5-1        Loansome Doc Lender Statistics (The report does not contain the number of requests removed for non-receipt, the number of requests removed for non-action, the number of days from request date to fill date, and the number of days from request date to not fill date.  This will be available in beta .08)

5.  SERHOLD (Note: Old SERHOLD System unavailable for changes as of 6/01/2000)
    a. SERHOLD Search changed to: SERHOLD Search/Add/Update.
    b. Added new function: SERHOLD Search/View.
    c. Added  RESET BIB SEARCH button to both SERHOLD Search Screens.
    d. Added  "My Library" Search Limit checkbox so that libraries do not have to input their own LIBID.  In  Search/Update/Add, the My Library checkbox is automatically checked.  In Search/View, the My Library checkbox is unchecked.  To view your own holdings, click the checkbox.
   e. Due to security concerns about displaying USERIDs to other users, the "Added/Modified by" information has been removed from the Record Display Screen.  This information is retained on the Update Screen only.  
    f. Record Display Screen: reversed display of Retention Policy and Acquisition Status to be consistent with the way that the information displays on the Update and Add screens.
   
In the works for DOCLINE beta .08 estimated for release June 9,2000

1. SERHOLD:  SERHOLD
    a. June 9, 2000 - New DOCLINE down for approximately 4 hours while we load the SERHOLD
    data. 
    b. SERHOLD data:  All changes made from this point on in new SERHOLD are permanent
2. REQUESTS:
    a.  New display feature for printing or downloading requests in Borrow.  Option to download or view/print in html or ASCII.  
     b. Removal of pop-up calendar in all places.  Replaced by formatted date entry.
     c. Prefixed requests will always route to the selected library, regardless of reported holdings.
