DOCLINE - Adding Holdings for Electronic Journals to SERHOLD

The forwarded message below was sent to Canadian DOCLINE libraries, and
it's worth repeating for the rest of the Pacific Northwest audience.
Briefly, please feel free to add to SERHOLD any ejournals to which you
subscribe *if* your subscription/licensing agreement includes permission
to use the content for interlibrary loan. If you do not have permission
to use for ILL, don't add to SERHOLD. (See forwarded message below for
How do ejournal holdings in SERHOLD relate to the holdings entered by
LinkOut participants into the LinkOut Holdings Submission Utility? They
are two powerful, but very different, systems created for different
purposes. One is the foundation for routing of DOCLINE ILL requests, the
other makes it possible for libraries to inform their users about ejournal
availability by displaying an icon as part of PubMed search results.
SERHOLD and LinkOut do not at present communicate holdings information
between one another.
