LIBRARIES IN WASHINGTON:

If you are interested in participating in a consortial purchase of online
products from Ovid, EBSCO, or MD Consult, or you'd just like to use the
resources available during the trial, read on!

The Washington Medical Librarians Association (WMLA) collected information
about your interest in consortial purchasing via two discussion meetings,
one at the WMLA Internet Users' Group meeting in August and the other at
the PNC/MLA meeting in September. An interest survey was also conducted
via this email discussion list in late August. Vendors are interested in
working with us and have agreed to offer a free trial of their products.
This trial begins today and will last until November 19, 2001.

Which vendor should we negotiate with? Your input is essential! Please
take a look at these products this month and voice your preferences.

To participate, go to the WMLA Web site at http://www.wmla.org/ and click
on the WMLA Database and Full Text Trial link, or go directly to
http://www.wmla.org/consortium/WMLA_Consortium.htm. Note that you'll need
to request a userid and password for each vendor.

Please also note that a comparison chart and survey are in process and
will be available soon.

Thanks in advance for trying these products and voicing your opinions!
