Announcing the 1st Northwest Interlibrary Loan and Resource Sharing
Conference-September 19-20, 2002 in Portland, Oregon
Join the celebration! Make new contacts and renew old ties by meeting with
interlibrary loan and resource sharing specialists from Alaska, British
Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. With the help of experts
in the field, learn to streamline processes, utilize new tools, and solve
problems.
Join the conversation! Designed for staff in libraries of all types and
sizes, this conference will serve as a forum for discussing the core
resource sharing issues of costs, technologies, and users.
Join the collaboration! Whether you want to know more about workflow, best
practices, customer service, new management tools, or how to maximize
access while minimizing costs, the First Annual Northwest Interlibrary Loan
and Resource Sharing Conference is a prelude to the future.
Conference Site:
The conference will be held at the Sylvania campus of Portland Community
College in Portland, OR. Parking information will be available on the
conference website.
Registration:
Participants may pre-register until September 1, 2002. Pre-registration is
$75 for both days/$50 for a single day. After September 1, register for
$100 for the full conference/$50 for a single day. Check-in will be on
Thursday, September 19, from noon-2:00pm, and on Friday, September 20, from
8am-9am.
Travel Accommodations:
Portland has an outstanding public transportation system. The city is
served by all major air carriers as well as Amtrak rail service. Within
the city, a system of buses, trolleys, and light rail connect all major
visitor attractions, hotels and restaurants. See the conference website
