NLM Announces: Changes to PubMed mapping

Two recent Technical Bulletin articles describe changes to the way PubMed
will map terms from the query box.  Changes to publication type mapping
have already been implemented and are described in the article at
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/ma03/ma03_pt.html.  Also, in the near
future phrases will be removed from the automatic term mapping process.
To search for phrases, you will need to use quotation marks or qualify
with [tw] to instruct PubMed to bypass the automatic mapping.  This change
is expected in early April and is discussed in detail in the article at
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/pubs/techbull/ma03/ma03_phrase.html.
