The new NN/LM PNR Request for Proposals (RFP) for outreach projects is
available at http://nnlm.gov/pnr/funding/2203RFP.html. This year's
solicitation is new and improved, based on comments from past outreach
project leaders. Our goal is to encourage you to share your expertise
and resources with un- or underserved groups.

Outreach? Think broadly. Outreach need not be just extending traditional
information services. How can you and your experience impact the health
of your community (or a neighboring one)? What groups in your area suffer
disproportionately poor health outcomes and how can you be involved in
developing solutions? How can you support clinicians, consumers, and
decision makers? What individuals or agencies might be logical partners?

Any network member is eligible to apply. The maximum award has been
increased to $25,000. See the description of this award and others at
http://nnlm.gov/pnr/funding/. Contact Linda Milgrom
(lmilgrom at u.washington.edu) or other RML staff to discuss your ideas.
Proposals are due August 1, 2003.
