NLM announces the upcoming release of DOCLINE 2.2 scheduled for Tuesday,
August 3, 2004. We anticipate DOCLINE will be unavailable from
approximately 6:30am - 7:30am Eastern Time to release the latest version of
DOCLINE.
DOCLINE 2.2 Release Notes can be viewed at:
http://www.nlm.nih.gov/docline/docline_rel_info_v2_2.html The Release Notes
include links to screenshots of the upcoming changes.
Highlights of the release include:
* an alert message when a "epub ahead of print" citation is being ordered
* ability to change delivery method in Batch Lend
NOTE: requests should continue to be filled via requested delivery method,
which includes the method a borrower lists in Comments.
* ability to perform truncated title searches. For example, searching "cell"
would retrieve titles beginning with the letters 'cell'.
The Regional Medical Libraries participated in beta testing of the release
last week. In addition, NLM invited vendors to participate in beta testing
to allow them to system test their products which integrate with DOCLINE.
The vendors are QuickDOC, Cliosoftware, Illiad, and Relais. Please let us
know via the Contact Us link if there are other vendors you think should be
invited to participate in testing.
