The Information Technology Committee of the Hospital Library Section/MLA 
is announcing the new Bulletin Board for Information Technology Forum for 
members of the Hospital Library Section/MLA. The list is used for the 
dissemination of news and the discussion of business and issues related 
specifically to technology issues related to hospital libraries.

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) has partnered with 
MLA in this endeavor.  The NN/LM Hospital Internet Access Task Force and 
the Hospital Library Section IT Committee are working together to 
disseminate the data the Task Force collected about IT barriers facing 
hospital librarians.

Registration is easy and free of charge.
1. The address for the Information Technology Forum is:
 	http://www.hls.mlanet.org/itforum
2. Click on Register.
3. You must accept the terms of the agreement before registering.
4. There are three sections to complete:
 	a. The only required information is the first section which 
includes username, e-mail address, password, and confirm password.
 	b. In the second section, you can also setup profile information 
for your account such as a signature.
 	c. In the third section, you can setup various preferences for your 
account.
5. Registration is complete.

November and December topics to be discussed on the bulletin board are 
software issues and Internet connectivity and hardware issues.
