[PNRNews] Welcome Nikki Dettmar!

Colleagues:

I'm delighted to announce that Nikki Dettmar has joined the Regional 
Medical Library in a temporary, part-time position as Acting Education and 
Assessment Coordinator.

In her new role, Nikki will coordinate distance learning services and
develop web-based learning formats for RML outreach and education 
services.  Her position will also assist in assessment and
evaluation of the NN/LM program.

Nikki graduated in December 2007 from the University of North Texas in
their distance library school program. Her studies focused on combining 
health informatics with core library sciences elements such as reference 
interviewing, evaluating electronic and other information resources, and 
creating reference guides and tutorials for health information 
professionals and healthcare consumers.

In 2007, Nikki completed a 6-month internship with the RML, under the 
tutelage of Gail Kouame, Consumer Health Coordinator.
