polical matter

In response to June's response... I'd like to second it!
If someone has a political message that is health related (e.g. support
legislation that reduces teenage smokers), then I feel a post to the list is
appropriate. General political messages (vote Republican, Democrat, did you
hear about the whales? etc.) generally does not have a place on this
listserv.
Thanks,

I personally was glad to receive this letter, although there is of
course no guarantee that it really was written by Michael Moore. I'm
not sure if it is appropriate for this listserv. However, of course,
politics and public health are inextricably linked, and sometimes
direct action/information is desperately needed on political
intiatives to avert serious setbacks in public health. So I wouldn't
want political content excluded from our discussions. Seems as if
having some consensus about what's appropriate would be good.
