Self care and empowerment of elders

The Healthcare and Aging Network (the newly rechristened Managed Care
and Aging Network) of the American Society on Aging is putting on a
special one and half-day offering within their Annual Meeting on The Challenges
of Integrating Care in the Next Millenium (working title).  The
conference is in March, 2000.

I am presenting one of the concurrent sessions on consumer self-care and
empowerment, focusing on what healthcare organizations need to/can do to
empower older adults to be more active participants in their own
health care. And I would like to talk about what YOU are doing in that
regard OR what you think should be done.  Special programs, self care books,
trainings for seniors, training of physicians, nurses, other health care
providers, anything else.  Of course I will give you credit!!
