Now somehow I don't think Laura meant to post this to the list.  For the
record, I'm holding my own.  I recently changed my email signature because
so far the year 2000 has brought me more challenges than I care to
contemplate.  Sorry I haven't been as active on  the list as in the past.
I'm hoping to manage my time a little better and be more "present" on
PNWHEALTH.  Thanks for your patience and keeping some great dialog going.

On a positive note, thanks to Megan Murphy for sharing information about
safety education materials from Children's Hospital Medical Center.  I am on
the faculty of four Health/Fitness Summer Institutes for K-12 teachers.  If
others have materials they would like me to mention or if your
organization/agency would like to be named as a contact point for K-12
resources, by all means let me know.  This program is planned as a "First
Annual" opportunity, and the program is designed to help school personnel
implement the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements for
Health & Fitness.

I will also be teaching for Western Washington University and Antioch
University this summer, and I always make my students explore the
availability of resources in the community and retrieve resources they would
actually use in their classes.  Be warned, summer quarter starts next week!
