thought I'd forward for your own info. I apologize for any duplicate
postings.
The name of the website is "The Providers Guide to Quality and Culture".
The site also provides a wealth of information in a variety of areas that
may be of interest and assistance to you, including:
* understanding immigrant, refugee and minority populations;
* common health problems in selected minority, ethnic and cultural
populations;
* common beliefs and cultural practices;
* non-verbal communications;
* relating to a patients family;
* cultural competent organizations;
* cultural groups (provides expanded information for 5 cultural
groups; African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, Native
Americans and Pacific Islanders).
Although the information appears to be geared to health providers, much of
the information is useful for any person interacting or working with these
populations.
