Opportunity to help influence national health policy in our Washington D.C. office. Successful candidate will have excellent analytical and writing skills with ability to objectively examine a variety of current health policy issues, prepare position papers and briefing materials, draft Congressional testimony, respond to proposed regulations, and otherwise help to develop and implement public policy position of the nation's largest national medical specialty society.  Will work closely with policy committee and other staff, but also must have ability to work well independently.  Experience in health policy analysis, excellent writing and computer skills, and Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in relevant fiend and at least 1-2 years experience preferred. Responsibilities include maintaining the Legislative Action Center website, writing alerts on current issues, recruiting key contacts, and responding to member inquiries.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as member relations skills, are required.  Experience with government relations/grassroots programs is essential. ACP-ASIM is seeking an individual to perform policy analysis and implementation in medical ethics, human rights, and other health policy areas.  Responsibilities include development of policy statements and projects, project management, preparation of legislative testimony and regulatory responses, and other communications.  Relevant graduate degree preferred, including, Public Health, Nursing, Bioethics, JD or other related fields.  Extensive knowledge and background in bioethics and health care related issues required.  Excellent analytical, research, writing and oral communication skills and demonstrated project management abilities.  Liaison skills and committee experience preferred.
