EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH EDUCATOR
Jefferson County Health & Human Services is now hiring for the
position of Environmental Health Educator. This is a UFCW union
position, 40 hours per week with a wage rate of $16.50 per hour and
full benefits.
This position provides health education and serves as a liaison to
County residents in order to prevent environmental disease and reduce
the public exposure to environmental hazards, and to improve the
quality of the environment; directs health education programs for
group and community needs by performing duties and responsibilities
as outlined in the job description.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in education or
social sciences or closely related field; and five (5) years related
experience in teaching or providing education in a health related
field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree (M.A.) in education or social sciences or closely
related field preferred.
Applications from current Jefferson County employees must be received
at the Commissioners' office by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004 to
