[PNWHEALTH] Cool tool

Friends:
I discovered a great new tool that saves my knees from pain (bad
arthritis). If you are working with the elderly and they are
having trouble cleaning their bath tubs or shower stall walls
because they cannot kneel or they can't stretch over a tub to
clean the walls, tell them about this tool.
It's from Scotch-Brite and is called a Shower & Bath Scrubber. It
sort of looks like the scritchers you use to wash pots but is
shaped like an iron and fits on the end of a long collapsible
handle. The dimensions are about 3 inches by 5 inches. I included
a picture so that you could see what I was talking about.
I got one a few weeks ago from Target just to try it out. (I knew
I needed something since it hurt too badly to kneel for any
period of time). Anyway, it works really well, is relatively
inexpensive - I got mine for $5.99. It is easy to grasp even with
arthritis in your thumbs. The head is replaceable. Did I say that
it works well? Worth repeating. And you can buy bristle brushes
that fit on the handle as well as the replacement scritchers.
Standard disclaimer: I don't own stock nor do I have a financial
interest in Scotch-Brite. I just thought this might be of use to
those of you who are getting to be that age when it is getting
harder to do things and for those of you who are working with
people with this kind of disability.
What tools do you use to live better? We could use these lists to
share them with others. So, please feel free to share your cool
tools with the rest of us as you discover/use them. Especially if
they can be used by those with (growing) disabilities.
Happy Monday!
Laura
