The Office of Health Promotion, Washington State Department of Health,
is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and strategic-thinking health
educator to work on a wide variety of health education projects and
campaigns. A key duty is to work on the Health Education Resource
Exchange website, an online health promotion clearinghouse available at
http://www3.doh.wa.gov/here/.
This is a great opportunity to expand your writing skills, grow and
learn with a team of highly skilled health educators and social
marketers. Opportunities include marketing the clearinghouse and
producing a periodic e-newsletter, developing culturally appropriate
health education materials, facilitating group planning, and connecting
with health educators and community health professionals throughout
Washington State.
Candidates must be on the Health Services Consultant 2 register through
the Washington State Department of Personnel, and may apply online at

Salary Range is $35,808 - $ 45,816.
Desirable qualifications include a Bachelors degree in health education
or Masters in public health or closely allied field. Other desirable
capabilities include fluency in Spanish and experience working with web
and database resources.
