Project Coordinator Position

Immediate opening for an individual to be part of a strong research team on a 4-year CDC-funded randomized clinical trial of an intimate partner violence preventive intervention which seeks to assist women and their children.  The individual will be part of a strong research team working collaboratively with researchers from Portland State University, Johns Hopkins University, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Multnomah County Health Department (MCHD).  The individual’s responsibilities will include overseeing the daily management of the study including; (1) serving as a liaison between PSU and MCHD; (2) coordinating student/interviewers as they work with research respondents; (3) providing necessary support for data collection and management; and (4) assisting in the preparation of reports and other materials to CDC.  Though not required, the individual will have the opportunity to be involved with the research team in preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed, scientific journals. A BS or BA and 1-3 years relative research experience is required though applicants with an ABD or PhD are particularly encouraged to apply. The position may run for up to 4 years and pays $32,000 for a 12 month contract that comes with a strong benefits package.
