Research Assistant

Providence-Everett Medical Center - Behavioral Health Services Unit

The Prescription Opiate Analgesic Treatment Study (POATS) at Providence
Everett Medical Center is recruiting to fill a full-time Research Assistant
position. The study will run in the Behavioral Health Services Unit for
approximately 2 years. Providence is one of eleven sites nationally to
participate in this combination medication/behavioral intervention trial for
prescription opiate dependence. The position involves all aspects of study
function, including recruitment, participant interviewing, follow-up,
administrative tasks, working with a centralized electronic data entry
system, and coordinating with the Research Coordinator, study doctors and
counselors. We are seeking a candidate who is detail oriented and who has
research experience, particularly with structured interviewing.

The Research Assistant position is housed at Providence Everett Medical
Center and is part of the Clinical Research Department there. The study is
funded by the National Drug Abuse Treatment Clinical Trials Network (CTN),
and overseen by the University of Washington Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain clinical research experience for
those seeking to further a career in psychology/behavioral health, or
additional opportunities within the Clinical Trials Network.
