Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department is actively recruiting for two new professional health promotion staff positions. Salary Range: $48,859 - $62,545 /Annually . Open until filled.

Prevention Specialist - Nutrition
Focused on implementing programs and policies in the food industry, schools and wider community that will increase access to healthy foods. A strong background in nutrition is required. 


Prevention Specialist - Health Equity
Focus on increasing health equity among racial and ethnic minorities and other vulnerable, at-risk or under served populations. Building bridges for effective prevention in the areas of tobacco, violence, nutrition, physical activity, and work site wellness. This position requires strong assessment and presentation skills and a proven track record of building effective relationships with diverse populations.
