Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) is seeking a 
Membership Coordinator to join our staff. CCPH is a national non-profit 
organization based at the University of Washington in Seattle that 
promotes health (broadly defined) through partnerships between 
communities and higher educational institutions (www.ccph.info). 
This is a temporary one-year position and will end on or around 
July 31, 2008 when CCPH will transition to its next organizational home.

The Membership Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of
the membership and publications programs at CCPH and facilitating the
transfer of these programs to CCPH’s next organizational home.
While CCPH’s membership program has a well developed
infrastructure, the Membership Coordinator will have the opportunity to
enhance and improve the program.

JOB DUTIES:

Coordinate CCPH Membership Activities:

Respond to membership inquiries by mail, phone and email; provide
information regarding membership program content, activities, policies
and procedures, and services.

Track and monitor membership activities and prepare monthly reports on
membership numbers and revenue; monitor and troubleshoot online and
credit card payment processing system and track payments; coordinate
printing and shipping of membership materials and delivery of renewal
notices; enter member data into databases; make recommendations for
improvements to the system.

Develop, co-edit and distribute member e-newsletter, Partnership Matters
(PM); prepare membership-related articles; coordinate featured member
e-interviews; manage CCPH electronic discussion groups and respond to
requests posted on them.

Update and maintain membership-related web pages.

Support member interest groups.

Coordinate CCPH Publication Activities:

Process CCPH publication orders. Monitor and troubleshoot online and
credit card processing system and track payments; mail publication
orders; enter publication orders into database; prepare monthly reports
on publication numbers and revenue; manage and maintain publication order
form and publication ordering system;  manage inventory of all
publications; coordinate printing and shipping of publications.

Facilitate Transition of Membership and Publication Programs to
CCPH's Next Organizational Home:

Update existing and develop new "how to" manuals for key membership and 
publication program tasks; orient and train staff at CCPH's new 
organizational home who will be responsible for the membership and 
publications programs; coordinate transfer of membership and publication 
electronic and hard copy files to next organizational home.

Other Tasks as Needed:

Update program inventories, conduct internet searches, send announcements
through the online directory, order office supplies, printing, copying,
collating, data entry, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the 
program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

Intermediate/advanced experience in the following programs: 
Excel for Windows; Word for Windows; Internet Explorer for Windows; 
FileMaker Pro.  Experience using Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook 
or Outlook Express e-mail programs.  Excellent written and verbal skills 
and ability to communicate in a professional manner by e-mail.

Candidates should be highly organized; detail-oriented; have excellent 
written and verbal communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should be able to learn and pick up on new tasks quickly; 
be self-motivated and most important, have a positive attitude and a 
desire to learn.

Candidates should be very comfortable communicating in a professional 
manner by e-mail and phone.

Demonstrated interest in health care/public health.

COMPENSATION:

Salary $2415-$3208/month; $28,980-$38,496/year - Depending on Experience
