Well, the Job Bank slowed down over the summer, but I am energizing and
getting back on track. The Job Bank is now linked to the new PNW SOPHE web
site. If you haven't visited yet, take a look -
http://www.pnwsophe.org/index.php Congratulations to all the folks at PNW
SOPHE who have worked hard to build the new site. The PNW SOPHE chapter has
talked about its own web site for some time. Okay.years. It is exciting to
see it take shape.

The Job Bank has been around for some time, is all volunteer operated, and
changes as time permits. The Job Bank is always looking for a new "banker,"
or host/hostess. It isn't that I don't love doing the Job Bank. I would
just love it more if someone else did it!!! J

Job Bank House Rules

In general, the rules are loose and informal. The following are our general
guidelines.

1. Jobs posted should be in the Northwest, i.e. AK, ID, MT, OR, WA.
Jobs from other states are generally sent to the PNWHEALTH listserv and not
posted on the Job Bank. This is simply a time issue, no discrimination
against Californians and others!

2. Copy and paste your announcement into an email, if that is
possible. A Word document can be handled. PDF documents work variably and
are not preferred.

3. Jobs are posted same day, when life or vacation doesn't get in the
way. If several days have passed and you do not see your post, please email
me - margo at pnwhealth.com.

4. If possible, give a Closing Date for the position. "Open until
filled" is fine, but it is hard to know when to remove the post.

5. When the position is filled, please email me so I can remove the
post - margo at pnwhealth.com.

While the Job Bank is available for Job Postings, the PNWHEALTH listserv
welcomes Job Needed type announcements. If you are new to the area,
changing jobs, etc., you are permitted to post a job seeking message.
Please use the Subject line to let readers know that the post is from
someone looking for a job, i.e. Job Searcher Seeking Position in Patient
Education. Not all subscribers can accept attachments; so you might want to
offer your resume on request rather than attempt to attach it.

That's it, and THANKS! The PNWHEALTH Listserv and the PNW Job Bank have
flourished for a number of years and we appreciate you visiting. Margo
