Hello,
Please forward this information on to your listserve participants.
The UW Extended MPH Degree Program is a partial distance learning
program for public health or related professionals. The program is
accredited, relevant, supportive, affordable, and personal. Graduates
from the program have become leaders in their fields. The average class
size for a cohort is 23-26. Students have the benefit of working with
expert researchers, practitioners, and fellow classmates who are
themselves experts.
Applications are being taken now through April.

The MPH can be completed in approximately two years and combines
individualized study with a periodic on-site component. The onsite
commitment involves one month the first summer, three weeks the second
summer and a two-week period during a third summer. Four on-site weekend
seminars per year are also required for the first two years. Studies
continue while off-site using the web and email. Most electives are
available via partial or total distance learning. GREs are required, but
the program will accept results from earlier GREs if you have a copy.
Students have multiple focus options, such as global health, maternal
and child health, health education, nutrition, policy, environmental
health, or a focused electives option that allows you to mix and match.
Elective courses are also available to professionals in the field for
lifelong learning. The average class size is 5-10 people, so students
get the benefit of working very closely with their professors.
ExDP also offers a certificate option for those who are not sure they
want or need the full MPH. The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is
the first full year of the MPH, 25-29 credits, and all credits may be
transferred to the MPH if a student is later accepted to the MPH. GREs
are not required for the Certificate.
Take care.
