This is post that appeared on the social marketing list. Please excuse any
cross postings. I thought it made some interesting points. I know Nedra
Weinreich, and I use many of her materials. I have high regard for her work
in social marketing, and I wanted to share. I don't think the issue she
illustrates is an issue solely for social marketing. It is one we may
experience in health education as well. It particularly made me thing of
intern projects from some time ago! Margo
Dear Colleagues,
Here is a very spot on (and very funny) exposition on the problems with
"awareness," from our list serve colleague Nedra Kline Weinreich:
http://bit.ly/frcmqC. (In the spirit of transparency, she mentions her new
book and her website at the end.)
This should be required viewing for anyone who plans behavior change
programs!
