Dear Population Health Forum,
The attached materials were sent to me by George Berger, an acquaintance in
Sweden (formerly of the Netherlands, and originally from USA). The Word
document is Mr. Berger's account of his recent interactions with the Dutch
Healthcare System. The PDF is the Dutch healthcare policy document to which
Mr. Berger refers. As I lack any knowledge of the Dutch language, this
second document has been of no use to me, but if there are any Dutch
speakers among the PHF crowd, I would be interested to know to what extent
the contents of the PDF support Mr. Berger's account of the medical care
decisions that were made in his case. Perhaps the issues addressed in Mr.
Berger's account have already been addressed here (if so, I would greatly
appreciate links or references to relevant previous discussions), but if
not, they may bear further investigation and discussion.
Thank you.
