Present: Valerie, Don, Alex and Stephen
Discussed the recent health Olympics ranking of the countries as
appearing on the PHF website, and consideration of other indicators.
Talked about the Alameda County Factsheet on Economic Inequality &
Health which appear on Monday and represents an important step taken
by a county in the US.

Covered the presentation on Wednesday by a UW student at the
Washington State Labor Council in Olympia and the fact sheet produced
for that.
Talked about the occupy movement and possibilities for engagement with
health issues there.
Next meeting will be Feb 8 at 5:30 in H 670 when Alexandre Klementiev,
an epidemiologist from Tacoma will speak on "Health and the Health
System in Russia."
Consider coming to the Social Determinants of Health/Social
Epidemiology group which will give birth January 30, from 11 to 12
noon at the Boardroom on the 22nd floor of UW Towers at 4333 Brooklyn
Ave NE in Seattle. Let me know if you want to come and don't have a
UW ID card to get in.
