[Pophealth] minutes of today's meeting on epigenetics, next meeting May 30, 5:30 pm on population health concepts in US medical schools

Greetings,

Present:  Sam, Valerie, Adam, Amanda, Jon, Dunia and Stephen

Jon gave his version of the science of epigenetics, as well as an  
overview of genetics and what we understand about health issues  
related to these concepts.  It added onto our previous session looking  
at this important topic.

Next meeting, May 30 at 5:30, will have Dunia present her findings on  
medical school curriculums in the US and abroad relating to the social  
determinants of health concepts and population health.

The Economist published a chart last week based on a Lancet article on  
death rates for adolescents in rich countries.  Not to be outdone, we
