Many of the library and museum grants via the Federal
Government:
http://www.imls.gov/
are administered by the state. You can find some of these here:

There is information here about history grants and some contacts
that might be useful.

Hi,
I work for the Gorge Heritage Museum in Bingen WA. It is a
small museum in an economical depressed area. In other words, we
don't have much money. We have file cabinets full of historic
information. We have a huge collection of photos. We have a
library. We need help in preserving this wonderful information.
One of our members sent your email address to me. I would like
to have information on how to obtain money --- grants to help
with this process of preserving. We do have a computer, scanner
and printer. I have database abilities. I am new to the area
from the East coast.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Ruth Winner
