Hello: There are still a few seats open for the Stewardship of Digital
Assets workshop. This is a great opportunity to learn about digital
preservation and get answers to your questions.
The Northeast Document Conservation Center is presenting a two-day
workshop on sustaining digital collections at the Washington State
Historical Society in Tacoma, Washington, on October 14-15, 2008. OCLC
Western Service Center is a co-sponsor of this event.
Through a combination of lecture, case studies, and interactive
sessions, a faculty of digital experts will lead an interactive,
hands-on workshop. You will learn about the long-term needs of the
digital information that exists in your institution, and how to plan for
the preservation of your digital assets.
This two day course is best suited for participants with existing
digital collections and prior digitization experience. Participation by
multiple employees from the same institution is encouraged.
Please note that class size is limited to just 35 people and enrollment
will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to
register early. Lunch will be provided eac day.
