CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Western CONTENTdm Users Group Meeting
June 3-4, 2010, Salt Lake City
Proposals due April 10
The Western CONTENTdm Users Group is calling for submission of
presentation proposals at its fourth annual meeting, to be held June
3-4, 2010, at the recently renovated J. Willard Marriott Library on the
University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City, Utah.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
* Pre-meeting training sessions, June 2
* Program sessions and social events, June 3-4
TOPICS
The Planning Committee welcomes proposals on the topics below:
* Audio/video digitization
* Digital copyright and usage rights
* Metadata considerations for the harvested environment
* Alternate players and other interface enhancements
* Digital preservation and the Archival File Manager
* WorldCat Digital Collection Gateway
* Enabling Sitemaps for CONTENTdm collections
* Geographical interfaces, such as Google Maps
* Promoting digital collections
* Integrated discovery tools and CONTENTdm
* Training techniques and strategies
* Workflow management for digital collections
FORMATS
Proposed sessions may fit into any of several formats:
* Individual presentation, 30-60 minutes
* Panel presentation, 60-90 minutes
* Lightning presentation, 5-10 minutes
