Library 136: Class starts the last Saturday in June on the 26 and goes through August 7, skipping the 4th of July weekend. Meeting times are 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

You will learn: A bit about the history of binding and types of binding. The parts of a book, their function and in what way these parts work together. We practice analyzing how and why a book fell apart, what repairs to use in specific situations. Basic repairs you will learn and practice are tears, spine, corners, hinge, adding end sheets, attaching a new supper's, spine linings, dry cleaning and how to sew a signature. You will also learn to use mending equipment, tools and materials. Another project we will do is turning a paperback book into a hardback.

This is a FUN class and the time will just fly's by. Knowing these basic book repairs will save money, and extend the circulations on your books. Below is the link.
