Happy Holidays to you all. I hope you're enjoying them @ least as much as they are driving you crazy.

fyi-

"The National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses (NSSRN) is the Nation’s most extensive and comprehensive source of statistics on registered nurses (RNs) with current licenses to practice in the United States whether or not they are employed in nursing."

If you are interested in these finding go to:

http://bhpr.hrsa.gov/healthworkforce/ and choose
March 2004 Preliminary Findings: 2004 National Sample Survey of Registered Nurses (published December 2005)

Also, the Alliance for Nursing Informatics (ANI)is working on establishing a relationship with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The question they are sending out to the local memberships is how many members do we think will take the NI exam each year? So, in the interest of a pulse check (reliability and validity aside), how many of you plan to take the exam in the next 12 months? Please respond to me directly and save the list from the extra activity.

Many thanks!

Anne :)
