[pubcookie-users] Authentication failure after IP switch

We have been having some login issues on a server. After login with a
valid UWNetID, the server always responds with the following message:
User Authentication Failed!
Please contact ntadmin at scribner.hsl.washington.edu
I know this message is incorrect because I've accessed other UWNetID
protected sites - even installs of the same application without this
error. This all appears to be cookie related (see below).
Near as I can tell, this is the sequence of events:
1. IP address and DNS pointer were switched for this comp.
2. Above login failure message began to appear.
3. c_key was updated and reinstalled - still error appeared.
4. Complete uninstall of Pubcookie 2.6 and upgrade to 2.7.7
(including reg settings) -still error appeared
I've done some testing and it appears that the Pubcookie filter is not
properly creating the site-specific authorization cookie. I dummied up
an asp page to set a cookie and it works just fine. However, no new
cookie for the protected directories ever appears.
Anyone got any ideas on this?
